1. Summary
Scientific Calculator is an offline calculation, graphing, data, and programming tool. The paid v1 does not require an account. Gorae Labs does not collect, receive, sell, rent, or use personal data, calculation data, or program source through the app. Core features work without a network connection.
2. Data kept on your device
The app may save the following in its private app container:
- expressions, results, modes, variables, functions, and calculator settings;
- graph definitions, windows, tables, traces, and analysis results;
- lists, matrices, statistics, probability, solver, transformation, inequality, conic, and finance workspace state;
- user-authored programs, shell history and output, drawing state, and imported program-image assets;
- History records, command-based Audit events, and versioned restore snapshots; and
- language, display, accessibility, and other preferences.
This information is processed locally. It is not sent to Gorae Labs, an analytics or crash-reporting provider, an advertising network, Supabase, or an entitlement server.
3. Information the app does not request or collect
The app has no account or sign-in and does not ask for a name, email address, postal address, phone number, contacts, location, camera or microphone data, health data, financial-account credentials, advertising identifier, device identifier, or browsing history.
The paid v1 contains no advertising, tracking, product analytics, remote crash reporting, billing, in-app purchase, Supabase, remote entitlement, or cloud-sync SDK. Gorae Labs therefore has no server-side app record through which it can identify, retrieve, correct, or delete your workspace.
4. Website and support communications
The public ttrufle.com website is separate from the app's local workspace. Cloudflare delivers the website and may process standard web request information such as an IP address, user agent, requested path, and security events under its own privacy terms. This site does not use advertising cookies or product analytics.
If you email support, Gorae Labs receives the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. They are used to answer the request, investigate the issue, prevent abuse, and keep a reasonable business record. Do not send sensitive expressions, datasets, programs, or other information unless necessary.
5. Device backups and transfers
The app does not create its own cloud backup, synchronize its database, or provide server recovery. The current release candidate does not promise that its private container is excluded from every operating-system backup or device transfer. Depending on platform, account, administrator, and device settings, a platform backup or transfer provider may process a copy under its own terms.
6. Clipboard, files, sharing, and export
Paste reads clipboard text only after you choose the paste action. File import reads only a file you select through the system file picker. Copy, system share, and export give only the selected content to the operating system after your explicit action. The destination you choose may store or transmit that content under its own policy. These actions do not silently upload the complete local database.
7. Retention and deletion
Local state remains in the private app container so work can be restored after termination or update. History can be deleted one entry at a time or cleared together. Programs and imported images can be deleted through their confirmed file actions. Clearing History does not remove every active workspace, variable, graph, list, matrix, program, or preference.
Clear app storage where the operating system provides that control or delete the app to remove the complete local container. An existing platform backup may remain subject to the platform's retention and deletion controls. Because Gorae Labs does not receive the workspace, there is no remote app-account deletion request for the paid v1.
8. Programming sandbox
User-authored programs execute in a bounded on-device interpreter. The interpreter does not download or install remote code and does not expose network access, arbitrary host filesystem access, processes, FFI, or native-code execution. Instruction, time, memory, output, recursion, and cancellation limits reduce risk but do not make every program correct.
9. Security
Local data is protected by the app sandbox and the security controls provided by the operating system. No security measure is perfect, and this policy does not claim separate app-level encryption or forensic protection. Protect the device and any platform backup account with strong access controls and current software updates.
10. Children
The app is a general education and calculation tool. It is not directed to children or offered as a Kids Category app. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children or adults because it does not collect personal data through the app.
11. Future features and policy changes
Accounts, cloud sync, remote entitlement recovery, advertising, analytics, remote crash reporting, billing, and Supabase connectivity are not part of the paid v1. Before a feature changes these practices, the app, this policy, any required consent flow, and store privacy declarations will be updated. Material changes will have a new effective date.
