1. Summary
This is an offline calculation tool with no app account. Expressions, results, saved records and workspace content are processed on your device. Android closed testing version 1.0.0 (19) includes the optional usage analytics described below. Declining analytics leaves calculation and restore features available. Earlier distributed builds without this feature do not transmit app usage analytics.
2. Data kept on your device
The app may save the following in its private app container:
- expressions, results, modes, variables, functions, and calculator settings;
- graph definitions, windows, tables, traces, and analysis results;
- lists, matrices, statistics, probability, solver, transformation, inequality, conic, and finance workspace state;
- user-authored programs, shell history and output, drawing state, and imported program-image assets;
- History records, command-based Audit events, and versioned restore snapshots; and
- language, display, accessibility, and other preferences.
This information is processed locally. It is not sent to Gorae Labs, an analytics or crash-reporting provider, an advertising network, Supabase, or an entitlement server.
3. Information the app does not request or collect
The app does not ask for your name, email, postal address, phone number, contacts, GPS location, camera or microphone data, health information, financial-account credentials or browsing history. It does not connect financial accounts, execute transactions or provide personalized financial advice. Optional analytics app-instance identifiers and IP-derived approximate location are explained separately below.
The app has no advertising, in-app purchase, remote crash-reporting, Supabase, remote entitlement or account-sync SDK. Optional Firebase analytics does not receive calculation or workspace content, and Gorae Labs has no server from which it can retrieve or restore that content.
3A. Optional usage analytics
Usage analytics in Android closed testing version 1.0.0 (19) is off on a new installation. Google Analytics for Firebase is initialized only after you allow sharing in the first-run notice or Settings. You can use calculation features without sharing and turn sharing off in Settings at any time.
Google may process fixed screen names, sessions, app version, device and operating-system information, an app-instance identifier and approximate location derived from the device IP address. Analytics excludes expressions, calculation values, keypad input, saved records, graph datasets and program source. We do not set an app account or user ID, and advertising storage and ad-personalization consent are denied.
Data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Google processes analytics under its service terms and the project retention settings, potentially outside your country. Turning sharing off stops future collection and resets analytics data on the device; it does not immediately delete data already sent to Google or aggregate reports. Contact support@ttrufle.com for privacy or deletion requests. Because there is no account or real-world identity link, an email alone may not identify the analytics records of a particular installation.
4. Website and support communications
The public ttrufle.com website is separate from the app's local workspace. Cloudflare delivers the website and may process standard web request information such as an IP address, user agent, requested path, and security events under its own privacy terms. This site does not use advertising cookies or product analytics.
If you email support, Gorae Labs receives the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. They are used to answer the request, investigate the issue, prevent abuse, and keep a reasonable business record. Do not send sensitive expressions, datasets, programs, or other information unless necessary.
5. Device backups and transfers
The app does not create cloud backups, synchronize its database, or provide server recovery. On iOS, the Application Support directory is marked and verified with Apple's backup-exclusion resource value before the database opens. If that protection cannot be confirmed, the app uses temporary in-memory storage instead of opening its persistent database.
These are operating-system controls, not application-level encryption or forensic-protection guarantees. Platform providers, device manufacturers, administrators, and forensic tools may have capabilities outside the app's control.
6. Clipboard, files, sharing, and export
Paste reads clipboard text only after you choose the paste action. File import reads only a file you select through the system file picker. Copy, system share, and export give only the selected content to the operating system after your explicit action. The destination you choose may store or transmit that content under its own policy. These actions do not silently upload the complete local database.
7. Retention and deletion
Local state remains in the private app container so work can be restored after termination or update. History can be deleted one entry at a time or cleared together. Programs and imported images can be deleted through their confirmed file actions. Clearing History does not remove every active workspace, variable, graph, list, matrix, program, or preference.
Clear app storage where the operating system provides that control or delete the app to remove the complete local container. Content you explicitly copied, shared, exported, or transferred is subject to the destination's retention and deletion controls. Because Gorae Labs does not receive the workspace, there is no remote app-account deletion request for the paid v1.
8. Programming sandbox
User-authored programs execute in a bounded on-device interpreter. The interpreter does not download or install remote code and does not expose network access, arbitrary host filesystem access, processes, FFI, or native-code execution. Instruction, time, memory, output, recursion, and cancellation limits reduce risk but do not make every program correct.
9. Security
Local data is protected by the app sandbox and the security controls provided by the operating system. No security measure is perfect, and this policy does not claim separate app-level encryption or forensic protection. Protect the device and any platform backup account with strong access controls and current software updates.
10. Children
The app is a general education and calculation tool. It is not directed to children or offered as a Kids Category app. Optional analytics is off by default. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been transmitted.
11. Future features and policy changes
Current optional analytics is limited to the practices described above. If accounts, advertising, in-app purchases, cloud synchronization or other processing changes, we will update this policy, required consent and store disclosures. Material changes will have a new effective date.
